If you weren't out at Hanley Farm on Sunday, Sept. 16, you missed "Rock The Farm" -- six hours of kickin' rock n' roll. We had a great time, danced a bunch, laughed a lot, and raised a little money for the Southern Oregon Historical Society.
Bands included Soul Food, the Frankie Hernandez Band and the Rogue Suspects featuring super vocals by guest Annie Mac and amazing guitar solos by Jeff Pevar. Thanks to all our supporters: The Standing Stone Brewery and Music Coop in Ashland; the Good Bean coffeehouse and Valley View Vineyards in Jacksonville; PremierWest Bank and Umpqua Bank; NW Cummings and Quality Printing in Medford; Profound Entertainment of Grants Pass, and the staff at D&S.

Rock The Farm With Us Sept. 16!
D&S will host "Rock The Farm" -- a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Summer of Love -- Sunday, Sept. 16 out at the old Hanley Farm. Performers include Craig Wright & Horsefeathers, the Frankie Hernandez Band, and the Rogue Suspects with special guests AnnieMac and Jeff Pevar. Jeff has played with Ray Charles, Joe Cocker, Kenny Loggins -- everybody who's anybody -- and he tours with David Crosby's new band CPR.
The afternoon will offer food & beer by Standing Stone Brewery, wine from Valley View Vineyards and if you don't have a tie-dye shirt, you can buy one when you get there. Be sure to bring a blanket or some lawn chairs. There’s no fancy seating at the farm!
(We’d like to show off some bikes from that Easyrider time just to set the mood. You know the kind raked forks, tall sissybar, peanut tank… Running or not. Do you have one you’d like to show off? If so, send an e-mail to sales@dsharley.com very soon!)
The barndoors open at
12:30
; music should start around 1. We'll go to 5 or after, depending on how long you wanna keep dancing. (Bellbottoms are encouraged!) Tickets are $15 in advance (available at D&S) or $20 the day of the show. All proceeds go to the Southern Oregon Historical Society. For more information on the event, zip an e-mail to terrie@dsharley.com
Take a look and a listen to Jeff Pevar. But be forewarned - it'll make you want to be there.
Update: Rock the Farm happened and was great fun. Bushels full of kickin' rock n' roll - all to the benefit of not only the lucky folks that attended, but to the Southern Oregon Historical Society. Check out the photo album!

About Those Rockers…
We know you’re hot and bothered by the sight of this new motorcycle but you’re just gonna have to wait a little longer to sit on it. Harley-Davidson has delayed its production a bit, so we won’t receive our first one until sometime in November. We’re only getting two Rockers by the end of the year, so if you’ve got your heart set on one, contact the sales staff ASAP so we can save one just for you!
In the meantime, we’ve extended our V-Rod® demo deal. Stop by D&S and test ride a V-Rod® this month and we’ll enter your name in a drawing to win a $300 gift certificate to the Silver Legacy Resort in
Reno
,
Nevada
. Call our Sales Department at 541-535-5515.
