Want to see the new 105th anniversary colors? Want to see how you fit on a Road Glide or Softail Deluxe or XL 1200 Low? Want to put your name on a limited edition Screaming Eagle Road King? Or do you want to take a brand, spanking new Harley-Davidson out for a test run? You can.
Just call us! E-mail us! Or come on by! The trucks are rolling in and new models are arriving every day. We’ll celebrate the arrival of the two new models the Rocker and the Fat Bob at our Full Metal Attraction National Open House on Saturday, Sept. 29th.
But don’t wait. We’ve got plenty of 2008 bikes to see, ride and experience. And we’ve got a few 2007 models we’d like to roll out the door. For a complete list, check out the bike specials on our Store page.
The 26th annual Rogue Valley Toy Run may or may not be held this December. It’s up to you and the Medford City Council. Once again, the council has denied a parade permit and organizer Gene Nelson refuses to move the run to Interstate 5. We need $2,300 to cover overtime costs for police to escort the run.
But more importantly, we need your words of encouragement.
The council will discuss the event
7 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 16. Please let them know you support the Toy Run by sending an e-mail to Mayor Gary Wheeler at mayor@ci.medford.or.us and to other council members at council@ci.medford.or.us. Better yet, show up at the meeting. And let us know you want this ride to continue. You can send Gene an e-mail gene@dsharley.com or comment directly to our HawgBlog.
Thanks to two generous Harley riders, the 27th Annual Rogue Valley Toy Run will go right through downtown, with a full police escort. Mark and JR Lamensdorf of Star Towing have donated the $2,300 needed to pay for the City of Medford for the police overtime. Thanks to all of you who wrote letters and expressed your support. We're looking for a great run on Dec. 1.
