The high hand was held by Charlene "Sis" Thieroff, who won a weekend at Seven Feathers. Low hand winner -- Shannon Colley -- received the booby prize. One hundred percent of the money raised will stay here in Southern Oregon and be distributed by the Cancer Awareness Project.

It’s Time for the Corset Cruise! 

If you haven’t ridden in our infamous Corset Cruise yet, don’t miss this one! It’s Saturday, July 14, here at D&S, and it’s hosted by our chapter of Women In the Wind - Wild Rogue.

What’s a Corset Cruise? It’s a 100-mile poker run with a twist – everyone is invited to dress up Mardi Gras style. That means corsets, rhinestones, long satin gloves, feather boas, you name it. We’ve seen just about everything. The guys can dress up too if they want – use your imagination! -- or just ride along to soak in the sights. And you don’t even have to ride a motorcycle to participate: You can dress up and come to the party in the parking lot afterward and dance to the band, bid on silent auction items and win great prizes.

The registration table will open at noon . Cost for the full day is $25 if you pre-register at D&S Harley-Davidson (or by downloading a form at www.corsetcruise.com) or $30 the day of the event. It includes the run, a collectible pin, dinner and a raffle ticket. Cost for the party only – from 4 to 7 p.m. -- is just $10.

And what’s better than dressing up and riding around on your motorcycle all day? The fact that 100 percent of all money you give will stay in Southern Oregon to help women with breast cancer. (For a photo of some Corset Cruisers at the Ashland 4th of July parade, click here.)

What’s new for 2008?

Well, I’m leaving for the Summer Dealer Show in Nashville , Tennessee , this Sunday – yee haw! – and I’ll be there when they unveil all the new motorcycles, parts and cool stuff for the 2008 model year. I’ll have a digital camera, laptop and Jamie, our General Merchandise® manager, in tow, so watch our Hawgblog for the news from Nashville .
