The 2007 bikes are starting to roll in, but we've still got a few 2006 bikes left -- which is good news if you! You can still save $500 on all XL883 Sportsters®, $750 on all XL 1200 Sportsters®, and $1,000 on Softails® and Touring bikes!
We have a pretty good selection of Sportsters® and V-Rods, a couple of Softail® Standards, a beautiful Ultra Classic with a factory custom paint job. and a Screaming Eagle® V-Rod in dazzling red and charcoal. Check out the new Bike Sales Page in the Store section of our website.
Roger Warner, of
Jacksonville
! He was the lucky winner of the new 2006 Softail Standard raffled off on Saturday, July 8, at the Rogue Valley Balloon Rally. The bike was donated by Pepsi and D&S Harley-Davidson and 100% of the tickets went to help local children through the Children's Miracle Network. The winning ticket was picked by Berkley Connor, one of our 2006 Bikers Have Heart kids, who also got a balloon ride over the valley.
The raffle raised over $16,000 for local children with life-threatening illnesses.
The winning ticket was actually a birthday gift from Roger's daughter. This is his third Harley-Davidson. He sold his first to build a house, and he sold his second because it was too small. This one, he says, is "just right."
A little bit leather and lace goes a long way, as the girls from Women In the Wind - Wild Rogue chapter proved July 8 at D&S. The second annual Corset Cruise attracted over 100 riders, many decked out in corsets, feather boas, satin gloves and rhinestones --all to raise money for local women who need mammograms and breast cancer treatment. The total was close to $6,000 at the end of the day. The money will be divided between the

This year's cruise took the riders across the Siskiyous, to
Lake of the Woods
, Howard Prairie, down the twisty Greensprings and back to the dealership, where there was a party in the parking lot til after dark. Thanks to:
The rocking all-doctor band "Stretched Too Thin" and all their friends and supporters who came for the party afterward and danced til dark.
The owners of Aunt Betty's Diner in
Rogue River
, who donated and prepared enough meat to feed everyone who attended.
The waitresses at the Apple Peddler in
White
City
, who put their tip money together to create door prizes.
One rider, whose wife who diagnosed with breast cancer and had a mastectomy just days before the event, but who showed up, rode the route and wore the corset she had to planned to wear that day right over his T-shirt.
The many businesses and individuals who donated merchandise for our silent auction and door prizes, food for our dinner, a stage for our band, and tables and chairs for our guests.
Wendy Enneking of Channel 5, whose mom rides a Harley, and who volunteered to emcee our event.
Our new friend, Joyce, who has no connection to motorcycles or breast cancer, but who called and volunteered and worked all day, as well as family members and friends who worked into the night.
All the women who had the courage to lace up those corsets and wear them out the world for a good cause.
All the women who will benefit from the day's event, who show us courage in their personal fights against breast cancer.
And a special thanks to Sharon Barlow, Holly Christian, Nancy French, Marcia Lawson, Debbie Lewis, Anna Singleton, Terrie Smart, Brenda Ruddick and all the wonderful women of Women In the Wind, who worked so hard to make it happen.
In our last newsletter, we offered a free D&S T-shirt for the best story submitted to our website. If you haven't read about your fellow riders, you gotta check out our Community Page. There are travel stories, and good time stories, and reports on rides that you just plain missed out on.
Time's about up for our June contest, but we'll offer another shirt for all you July rider/writers. Just scroll down to the bottom of that page and type in your favorite Harley story. Be sure to send a picture if you can!
Here are a few things to keep in mind this month:

Pat yourself on the back! Our Bikers Have Heart event raised over $10,000 for two local kids living with leukemia. Thanks to you, Conner Wick of Grants Pass and Berkley Connor of Eagle Point have some help with medical expenses.
