D&S Wins Community Service Award!

For the first time, Harley-Davidson Motor Co. will recognize two dealerships in the nation as having Outstanding Community Service. We are one of those dealerships!

This award recognizes:
• Such events as Bikers Have Heart and the Rogue Valley Toy Run.
• Our Wild Rogue Chapter of Women in the Wind and its commitment to the Candlelighters support group.
• Our Southern Oregon No. 1 HOG Chapter and its activities.
• Our Sales Department 2004 Model Year program that offered $1,000 in Parts & Accessories for a $100 donation to one of our favorite charities.
• Money raised for such charities as Children's Miracle Network and the Susan Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
• A staff that volunteers in programs across Southern Oregon.
• An event room that has become a community meeting place.
• And most of all, for the "Circle of Giving" that we have created between groups in our community.

We have always believed that we have the best customers, with the biggest hearts, in the world. This award proves it! Thanks, again, for all you do. We are so proud!

We will receive the award -- for all of you -- at the Summer Dealer Meeting, July 15-17, in San Diego.

Biker's Have A Heart

This year's event raised over $5,000 for Paige Franklin and the Sparrow Club Foundation. Paige is 7 and has a rare illness called Kawasaki Disease. It has left her serious, life-threatening heart complications. She has used the money raised to buy a blood-monitoring machine for her home.

The rest of the money has been donated to Sparrow Clubs, an Oregon-based foundation for families of children with life-threatening illnesses.

Thanks to everyone who participated in our Yahtzee Run, or showed up later to hear the live band and bid on auction items. A special thanks to volunteers from the Phoenix High School Sparrow Club; Women In the Wind-Wild Rogue Chapter; Southern Oregon HOG Chapter No. 1; Christian Motorcycle Assocation; and the local Gold Wings club. We couldn't have done it without you!

Rogue Valley Toy Run

More than 300 bikes turned up in our parking lot Dec. 6 for the 2003 Rogue Valley Toy Run. The weather was just right for a little pre-ride partying with Santa and our annual ride to the Moose Lodge for lunch.

We collected a mountain of toys, which were distributed by the Moose Lodge and the Salvation Army, and we raised several thousand dollars for our favorite charity, the Children's Miracle Network.

We've collected some of our favorite Toy Ride photos on a special page for you to see. Click here!

Rogue Valley Toy Run

Once again D&S Harley-Davidson is the host of the Rogue Valley Toy Run. Social Hour will start at 10 am with hot drinks and donuts provided for all of the riders. The parade will leave around 12 noon.

This year, in honor of the 25 years we have been doing this, we will all travel north on Interstate 5 to the City of Gold Hill for lunch, live music, an auction and special guest appearances. The City of Gold Hill is the new home of the Family Moose Lodge, formally known as the Meford Moose Lodge. Shirt sales and special limited edition Toy Run prints drawn by the world famous Ashland artist Will Storm will start in November hurry on down to D&S Harley-Davidson as supplies are limited. All cash proceeds from T-shirt sales, donations and the auction will be going to the Children's Miracle Network.
