Lost Coast Ride

Take either way you like to Eureka , Calif. , either Highway 199 to 1 or I-5 so to 96 through Happy Camp. I take one day to do this, and stay in Eureka that nite. If you are in Eureka on the first Saturday of the month the shops in old town stay open late and it's a nice street party) and don't forget to check out the Lost Coast Brewery -- good food and brew. (Check out their website, and if you plan on going to the brewery get a motel within crawling distance ).

Now for the Lost Coast Ride, go south to Ferndale . In the middle of the town the road takes off to Cape Mendocino (the farthest  west point in the west coast, I think). This road is paved, but the way they repair it makes it bumpy so I hope you didn't put any beer in your bags from the nite before; those refillable containers will not take the pressure!

The road starts out in the trees but soon it opens up as you go west. To me it starts to look like something out of Europe . Now you wind down to the ocean and to where the Cape is (just a small parking place and a stone sign). You go along the water for awhile then through Portolia and at Honey Dew go across the old bridge (left or east) and that will take you through the Avenue of the Giants and back to Hwy 101.

Next I go back to Highway 36 (the road to Red Bluff) to Highway 3. Go north through Hayfork (stop for pie at the cafe in Hayfork), Weaverville and back to I-5 at Yreka. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do. Give me a call if you want someone to ride with on this.

My wife Chrisy & I visited D&S Harley a few weeks ago. Angelica was most helpful in finding a correct jacket size for my wife. We found her to be very pleasant and easy to talk with. She made us feel wanted and appreciated for our business. You have a keeper with Angelica. She even went the extra mile to recommend a good hair stylist for my wife!

Also, I have been working with Josh alot over the phone pricing out a new bike. He has been patient and helpful. He has returned my calls promptly. Living in Yreka , Calif. , I have a few dealers to choose from within reach.

I can't authorise a raise for Angelica and Josh.....but I can spend my money. I have decided to buy my new Harley from D&S!  P.S. I talked with service once or twice and got straight, honest answers as well!

Thank you. Keep up the good work.
