One of our regular customers, Robert Buckner of
Grants Pass
, has been spending his evenings blacking out on his 2002 Nite Train. We asked him for some words of wisdom about the project. He responded:
"Your asking me if i have any ..."Words of wisdom?" ...I took a perfectly good late-model softail motorcycle and spent a bunch of money on it to make it look like a hardtail I'd built back in the late 1960's; I'm not sure how you can work any "wisdom" into that.
"I guess that's just the nature of us who like to ride motorcycles, (maybe more than most other vehicle owners). It's just kind of nice to make yours look a little different than every other one out there.
"I liked clean simple low-bling back then and I think that today that reality is still the same; you can actually get more "pop" with less chrome!
"The Good News? ... Nothing I did hurt the ride-ability so I guess thats a positive that isn't always there when you do something like this."

I just wanted to send a thank you to the kind sales person that talked to me today in your store - Michelle Silva took time to talk with me about the bikes even though I told her that I was just looking. And when I shared with her that the reason I was in the area was because my wife was in the hospital she was kind enough to ask me about her condition and then even shared with me about her mother's medical condition. I appreciated the time and interest Michelle gave me. Also, that she went and got a Thunder Press for me even though I was clearly not going to make a purchase that day. That kind of sales rep is the kind that builds a customer base over the long haul. Give her a raise and another day off.
